Terms of Service
Last updated: May 21, 2026 · Effective: May 21, 2026
Plain English. We built Framd to be a platform that respects photographers and clients alike. These terms reflect that.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Framd (framd.io) — including creating an account, posting photos, connecting with a photographer, or delivering a gallery — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
If you are using Framd on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business to these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, do not use Framd.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Framd. By using the platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
2. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. Framd cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage from your failure to maintain account security.
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account.
- Keep your login credentials confidential and do not share them with others.
- Notify us immediately at support@framd.io if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
- Maintain only one account per person unless explicitly approved by Framd.
- Not create an account if you have been previously suspended or banned from Framd.
Framd accounts are personal and non-transferable. You may not sell, transfer, or assign your account to another person without our prior written consent.
3. Acceptable Use Policy
Framd is a professional platform. We hold all users — photographers and clients alike — to a high standard of conduct. The following is strictly prohibited:
Prohibited content
- Content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, threatening, or fraudulent.
- Nudity or sexually explicit material not expressly permitted by Framd in a designated context.
- Content that infringes the intellectual property rights of others.
- Malware, phishing attempts, or any code that could harm users or our infrastructure.
- Spam, unsolicited commercial messages, or automated scraping of platform content.
Prohibited behavior
- Impersonating another person, photographer, or business.
- Misrepresenting your credentials, portfolio, or experience as a photographer.
- Using Framd to solicit connections that are then used to circumvent your subscription obligations.
- Attempting to circumvent community vetting systems or manipulate vetting results.
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or creating derivative works based on Framd.
- Using the platform to compete with Framd by building a similar service.
Community vetting is honest and anonymous. Attempting to manipulate it in any direction is grounds for immediate account termination.
4. Subscription Fees
Framd charges only the photographer subscription fee. We do not process payments between photographers and their clients.
All financial transactions for photography services are between the photographer and the client directly.
Photographer subscriptions
Photographers pay a monthly or annual subscription fee to access Framd's tools, portfolio hosting, gallery delivery, and marketplace listing. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the next billing date. All prices are in USD and processed securely by Stripe on behalf of Framd.
Founding rate subscribers lock in their current rate permanently — we will never raise your subscription price as long as your account remains active.
Subscription refunds
Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. You may cancel at any time; your access continues until the end of the current billing period. Questions about your subscription should be directed to support@framd.io.
Failed subscription payments
If a subscription payment fails, Framd will retry according to Stripe's dunning schedule. After exhausted retries, your account will be downgraded to a free tier or suspended. You will receive email notice before any access change.
5. Photographer-Client Transactions
Framd is a software platform that connects photographers with clients. This section is important — please read it carefully.
Framd is not a party to photographer-client agreements
Any agreement, contract, booking arrangement, or transaction between a photographer and a client is solely between those two parties. Framd is not a party to that relationship in any capacity.
Framd does not process photography service payments
Framd does not collect, hold, process, transfer, or guarantee any payments for photography services. All payment arrangements — rates, deposits, installments, final payments — are made directly between the photographer and the client through whatever method they choose.
Disputes are between photographer and client
All disputes related to photography services, including but not limited to payment disputes, cancellations, refunds, non-delivery, quality of work, or breach of contract, are solely between the photographer and the client. Framd has no obligation to mediate, arbitrate, or resolve such disputes.
Framd is not liable for the photographer-client relationship
Framd is not responsible or liable for the quality, delivery, fulfillment, cancellation, or any other outcome of photography services arranged through the platform. Users assume all risk in their direct dealings with other users.
Stripe Connect (optional photographer feature)
Photographers may optionally connect a Stripe account to Framd to enable client-facing payment links generated through the platform. When this feature is used, Stripe processes the payment directly between the client and the photographer — Framd facilitates only the technical connection and does not touch, hold, or take a percentage of those funds.
Photographers who use Stripe Connect are subject to Stripe's Connected Account Agreement in addition to these Terms.
6. Intellectual Property
Photographers own their work. Always.
Uploading photos or videos to Framd does not transfer ownership of your creative work to us. You retain all copyright and intellectual property rights to your images and videos.
License you grant Framd
By uploading content, you grant Framd a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, store, and deliver your content solely for the purpose of operating the platform (e.g., displaying your portfolio, delivering galleries to your clients, rendering feed posts). This license ends when you delete the content or close your account.
We will never use your photos for advertising, AI training, or any purpose outside of operating the service you signed up for.
Framd's intellectual property
Framd, the Framd logo, “Get Framd or Get Cropped,” and all platform software, design, and content created by Framd are owned by Framd, Inc. You may not use them without our prior written permission.
Client usage rights
Clients receive the rights to photos they are delivered as agreed with their photographer. Framd is not a party to the usage rights agreement between a photographer and their client. Clients should clarify usage rights directly with their photographer before booking.
7. Limitation of Liability
Framd's role is purely as a software platform and connection service. We provide tools that help photographers run their businesses and help clients find photographers. We are not an agent, employer, contractor, or representative of any photographer or client, and we do not participate in, supervise, or guarantee any photography services arranged through the platform.
Framd provides the platform “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that the platform will meet your specific requirements.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Framd, Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities.
- The quality, delivery, fulfillment, or non-performance of any photography services.
- Damages arising from the conduct of photographers or clients you interact with on the platform.
- Payment disputes, failed transactions, chargebacks, or refund disagreements between photographers and clients.
- Loss or corruption of your uploaded content due to circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Users assume all risk in their dealings with other users on the platform. We encourage photographers and clients to use written contracts, document all agreements, and exercise appropriate due diligence before entering into any arrangement.
In no event shall Framd's total liability to you for all claims exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid Framd in subscription fees in the 12 months prior to the claim or (b) $100 USD.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. If you are in such a jurisdiction, some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
8. Termination
You may cancel anytime
You may cancel your Framd account at any time from your dashboard settings or by emailing support@framd.io. Upon cancellation, your subscription ends at the close of the current billing period. Photographer galleries enter a 90-day grace period, then a Paused state — not deleted.
We may suspend or terminate accounts
Framd reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms, harmful conduct toward the community, fraud, or any reason we deem necessary to protect the platform and its users.
Where possible we will give advance notice and an opportunity to correct the issue. For serious violations (fraud, illegal content, repeat abuse), we reserve the right to terminate immediately.
Effect of termination
Upon termination by either party, your right to access the platform ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Intellectual Property, Photographer-Client Transactions, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law) will survive.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Framd will be resolved through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. You waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action lawsuit.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief from a court of competent jurisdiction for conduct that threatens immediate and irreparable harm.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
